Room For Thought

Cast your eyes down, or look away. Touch the picture in your pocket. Sigh. Mind. Tangled mess of memories. Fade. Blue black to grey to nothing at all. Pale light streams. Collecting dust. Empty, empty room. Only ghosts live here. They dwell in the faint scent of nostalgia. Almost wishing to miss times past. Failing. The impossibility of time. Evolution. Slow rotation of facts, Distorted by the lingering impression of fiction. To love what was and cherish what is. To grow to who you are. Sigh for the old, anticipate the new. Generations of pondering. The infinite patience of time. Cast your eyes up. Light beyond this place. Sharp and crisp, Cuts beyond the edges of faded memories. Tangible and real. Live for the present tense, But never be afraid to linger.
