Rolling Thunder

By Kevin Robey September 14, 2014 Vibrations grow loud as the masses awake My sunburned blue eyes and the heroes at stake Ideas that they call through winter and all Their victimless crimes they write on the wall I felt this before, their sinister laugh When I figured out the cracks in the math The footsteps grow with demons in tow As I Fall into the girl from below The thunder, it grows inside my heart The truth that I knew, right from the start I'll break apart down to every seam Inside fractured shells of flawed reasoning So just move along; kill the mass alarm The trans girl in me never so close to harm If I do survive, it'll be by mistake In spite of everything I still have at stake No one really knows the worst of it all Of my broken mind from ten thousand falls So damaged and bruised it's really no use But still I survive through these days of abuse So maybe the thunder will swallow me whole The footsteps will crush the lies I have told And maybe I will see the end of it all To rise from the ash; a reason to call
