Rocks
Rocks
I sat in my own world
Collecting rocks on the beach.
For hours I could, there were so many.
It felt like the ocean is mine.
It splashed white clouds of water
Against the dark gray rocky shore.
I reached in a few tide pools
Where patterns of colors illuminated.
I would bring them home
To keep with pleasant thoughts, I collected.
With precious moments like these,
For chaotic days when there is
No way of knowing what is next.
