Rob Ford Now
You thought Rob Ford went to Heaven.
You prayed he got his wings.
For all it takes to make him welcome;
to those I tell these things.
He seemed the very human being
we'd idol for our flaws.
The press enforcing he was bad
despite their shaming cause.
A skin flint with our many dollars.
A hero to the city.
While ambushed by a waiting counsel
to bring about our pity.
He sinned the sins of every man.
The bureaucrats own misgiving.
His peers exploiting him as worse
with none of them forgiving.
A martyr with a thousand plans.
His goal to bring the peace.
Now silenced for a greater cause,
his soul won't know to cease.
