Roads of Life
I often think about the places I have traveled to.
Many are distant places that I will never see again.
Places that I have travel by choice or by the events in my life.
Many destinations have brought much joy and unfortunately some apprehension and fear.
At times reaching into my soul for strength to continue on.
While realizing that with every mile that passes would open a new experiences, never to be duplicated.
And yet some places fade so quickly from my mind, similar to the views in my rearview mirror of my car.
Most of my trips have been alone, which always brought a sense of sadness.
Never being able to enjoy this time with friends, people or pets that I have loved.
For me the long hours of traveling always lead to a periods of reflection and solitude.
Life can be that way, while on long trips.
Over time there have been many roads I have traveled and destinations I have reached.
Similar to life and the roads we travel.
Our lifetime journey is seldom straight or narrow as the roads we travel in life.
Always bringing new experiences to enjoy.
While we travel on our journey though life.
