Road To Heaven
We wish to access
heaven, so suppress
heart’s fear,
hoping God will bless
us, so onward press
right here,
choosing to confess,
that we may undress;
sins clear.
For God to draw near,
before us appear,
we stall
ego lacking cheer,
lend conscience our ear,
recall
how love’s touch does spear
our heart and so steer
all.
Back against a wall,
we are sure to fall
unless
we choose to stand tall
and into heart crawl,
destress
and enter free-fall
that we bliss mist squall
possess.
