I was a famous, American actress, who adored performing for live audiences, In stage plays, both modern and classic, like velvet time, which often rushes. Rose acclaim filled long, chaotic days, of colorful masquerades and fulfillment, Like Sleeping Beauty crimson butterflies, on a first flight to sweet enrichment. I admired the other actors of my troupe, since we worked quite well together, As the humming, red-tailed bumblebee, is ecstatic, in fields of purple heather. Fancy flowers flowed to fragrant breeze, as friends filled finest summer hours, Like the love begun in orange sunrise of youth, but so true that it never sours. Far-flung family gathered in fateful July, in familiarity of flowery flamboyance, As ominous, dusky clouds precede thunder, in a display of silver clairvoyance. I lived in the house of frenzied, whistling wind, in wild, song days of summer, Like endless notes from an enchanted flute, joined by woodpecker drummers. Segmented sapphire days were so sunshiny, in jet shadows of sunflower June, And my street's seed sensations were flowers, when stars shone at the moon. Neighbors visited under navy blue skies, when new night stars navigated opal, Like fragrant, night blooming moonflowers, gladdening the twilights of purple. August sun saturated the roads, and big-eyed bumblebees searched gardens, And bellflowers rang mountain to valley, like pink skies that midnight darkens. At night, glitter stars trailed still, green earth, like the love of an oldest friend, When missing one not seen in a while, as the favorable opportunity descends. The troupe was performing Romeo and Juliet, our new member being Romeo, A gorgeous heartthrob, so cool and aloof, like vagrant raindrops' silver show. I wanted to get to know this enigmatic man, but he never would look my way, Like calm breathless nights, cloaked in satin, when everything has gone away. But I was too shy to make a first move, like red-violet mist tardily dissipating, Or sun slowly obscured by total eclipse, as noon passes night, so exhilarating! How eager fans adored romantic Romeo, whose every move held fascination! Red roses were thrown before final curtain, in twilights of purple imagination. Romeo ravishing! I truly wanted to meet him; and I was compelled to be bold, So one day I struck up a dialogue, like daisy dialogues where sun last strolled. Rare Romeo was not aloof at all! I soon found out he was merely nearsighted; And in a blissful year's time we wed, like icy stars when pale moon is sighted!

Ahhh a famous actress, now wed to a nearsighted (but apparently very handsome) Romeo. Your story shorts follow a pattern: an introduction of your protagonist, a diversion designed to press various mood buttons, a return to the main story, the finale. All trademarks of an expert storyteller. Oh, great alliterations too

Totally enchanting, Evelyn! Nearsighted indeed! I love your stories in couplets. And, it goes without saying, I am always mesmerized by your "color full" imagery - "silver show," purple imagination" (that's my favorite), "red-violet mist," "navy blue mist." I feel as though I have just been bathed in a rainbow! Thank you for this delightfulness! Merry Christmas, my friend, tied up with a red bow on a green evergreen bough decorated with silver stars in blessings of joy!

Oh the queen of couplets.. The conclusion of the poem brings a delightful resolution, with the actress and Romeo getting married. The use of metaphors such as "icy stars when pale moon is sighted" adds a celestial and romantic touch to the culmination of their story. In summary, this poem is a delightful blend of theatrical imagery, natural metaphors, and a classic love story. The narrative unfolds with a rhythmic and engaging flow, creating a vivid and enchanting experience for the reader..
