'Twas the time of Summer solstice, they wed Verdant leaves clung to trees; the month was June Whispered troths of love, sacred vows were said 'fore fauna, rising sun and waning moon Prince Largent was soon to be crowned as king but Mekram, the wise, held grief in his eyes He smiled with joy when Asha wore the ring Though death neared, he feigned a joyous disguise Bodies joined, celestial and human Festive auguries 'pon the forest floor Skies aflame, trees canopied with lumen Their world glows today, and forevermore 'Twas said to be just an immortal tale but in June, astral light gleams in the vale

This is wonderfully composed and thoughtfully creative - I love the genre and you have brought beauty and integrity to it, (as you do most things). Blessings, Lin! :-) <3 (Do you know the song "Sun & Moon" sung by Lea Salonga in "Miss Saigon"? This reminded me ... that's one of my favorite songs, and I adore her voice. I got to meet her a few years ago).

What a beautiful poem with a classic old world feel. I love the meter and the rhyme in this Lin. The story was wonderful and really took the mind to a magical place. Really nicely done.
