Rising Sun
Though your warmth
be trapped behind
cloud laden skies
You rise to greet us
bringing a little light
on a dreary day
chasing away darkness
that blinds vision
and invades dreams
for a few hours
as once more
night sleeps
and another day
awakens the soul
to embrace
the amazing gift
of life
