Rise Before the Sun
Rise Before the Sun
Why should I rise before the sun?
So my each new poem can be done
And again myself read them through
Determine kind of picture they drew.
Was it love filled with much romance?
Or something less complex by chance
Like dear and doe who she daily fed
Other things fearful we would dread.
How about a light that is illuminating?
Warm, sweet woman who is in waiting
Expecting wonderful child to be born
From her body was about to be torn.
Imagination may bring many things
Perhaps the presence of human beings
Who like me many poems want to write
Doing this through every day and night.
Last time that at all of my poems did look
Were sufficient amount to become a book
But after all of them have now been done
Kept them for myself, each and every one.
