Rise Again
Taken by surprise by life's mysteries,
I find myself on the edge of misery.
My strength has betrayed me,
My arrogance struck dead so abruptly.
Yet I know I will one day rise again,
Yet my tears I can hardly contain.
The struggles have all but taken my soul,
Yet I will regain what this life has stole.
I will rise like the sun rises by morning,
The death of my spirit I will stop mourning.
A new spirit shall now be born within me,
A spirit of strength, A spirit of certainty.
I will surrender to this life no longer,
My sudden rise will come about like thunder.
It will come without a warning,
I will rise like the sun does by morning.
