Risa Breathes

Lowered head with hidden eyes restless in her thin disguise Unsure if looks from opossum play were welcomed or just echoed fray She faintly saw what others knew gifts of grace, insight pursued She cried, she laughed, then cried again wondering where her wings might land Rising hope through ashes made from charred, crushed walls of desperate days Hold on! Let go! Hold on, but go! she climbed higher as strength arose Looking up, then breathing in, she exhaled peace, then breathed again
