Ripples

A thought ripples through my mind As darker clouds the sky now finds My mood changes with these hues I'm quiet now, more subdued A distant thunder rumbles on As the rain comes falling down The ripple now becomes a wave And holds me captive like a slave It seems the rain does hypnotize thunder roars, no compromise The wave then gently comes ashore The rain has brought me slumber once more ---- 8/11/16
