Rhythm of the Rain

While lying in my bed, I leisurely listen To the gentle rhythm of the rain on the roof. As I notice raindrops on the windows glisten, My eyelids hang heavy, I become more aloof. Now safe and warm at the end of my day’s hurries, Therapeutic drizzle helps wash away my pain. Like a caring, comforting friend soothes my worries, I turn once again to the rhythm of the rain.
