Rhubarb Pie

Oh for a taste of rhubarb pie! Home picked, home baked-- Mouth watering, I don’t lie. A tart and sweet delicious delight; Tingles, mingles with the tongue. Mom always cooked it just right! Some might let theirs go to waste, But I’ll eat their piece without delay, I just love that capricious taste! Note* I haven’t had a piece of Rhubarb pie since my dear mom died in ‘94

Hello Connie ... pretty popular in this household blended with apple and sugar but served up without the pastry. We do have our own plant that provides plenty of rhubarb stalks. Thank you Connie for your poem on this delicious dessert - Lindsay

Those sweet ladies like your mother will for all of this lifetime be missed Connie. My own grandmother, I think you have read the poem I have written about her, was the best cook five countys. Smile. I've eaten rhubarb pie about twice. It is awesome, but granny never cook that type of pie, Agape, Aloha, Moses

WONDERFUL NOSTALGIA. When I was a kid - oh, my God, that was over 70 years ago - the vacant lots had rhubarb growing wild. Mom baked rhubarb pies. It was the depression and picking rhubarb was free. Just wild about your poem. Love, daver

connie, I miss rhubarb pies too. Nobody makes them anymore. I got a recipe last year and you can't even tell it's rhubarb. It tasted so sweet. As for the picture. I fear it's gone forever as soon as Raul took his contest down. If you really wanted to see it, ask RAul Moreno, who has another beautiful picture up right this moment in a brand new contest!!Good luck in this cute contest. I loved doing my Jake loved BEans poem for this one. Andrea
