Resurrection Sunday
Jesus died upon the cross.
His followers thought that all was lost.
But then Sunday morning came,
And the world would never be the same.
The tomb was empty, stone rolled away.
Christ conquered death and hell that day.
That's why we celebrate each year,
The resurrection of our Lord so dear.
Christ's death bought pardon for everyone,
All of our sin placed on God's own Son.
His rising made all things new,
Resurrection power for me and you.
Sing Hallelujah to the King!
Lift high your hands, let your praises ring,
To Christ the Holy Risen One.
Rejoice in what God's love has done!
