Restoring Balance
Restoring Balance
Let me sleep in fields of primrose;
Allow me the peace of a shade tree.
For my worries to drift as the wind blows;
My spirit, blissfully free.
Should my thoughts carry to memories;
And for a moment relive my youth.
To childlike dreams and simplicity;
The evening shadows my sooth.
May the gentle rain wash over me;
To cleanse me from all trace.
My spirit drifts in harmony;
To another time and place.
Forget the day that transpired;
Release the waves of wrought.
Let nature's embrace rekindle my fire;
For worldly matters can be forgot.
As sun sets and night begins;
The shadows of clouds arrive.
With a deep sigh, I shall rescind.
Ever grateful to be alive.
