Resting Lotus

Upon a resting pond, her soul begins to sprout. The sun, an all too willing lender to her growth. Pure love, her nourishment, she cannot be without. Devotion and patience become your silent oath. Beneath the stilled surface, roots begin to emerge. How far can you reach inside yourself? Your triumphs and worthiness will be unearthed. Lend her your eyes, and you'll see nothing else. In the morning she will bloom for your effort. Your mind enraptured by her visage. In the evening, her petals will sever. Giving room to rebirth her fated image. Still you will wait, yearning for the dawn. Aching to feel the touch of her spirit once more. Within her petals, transformation undergone. Your love, the lotus, forever reborn.
