Rest and Release

Rest your head in a pillow of clouds The weary and broken down listen Count the miles on your feet Count them like the sheep Aimlessly eating from the fields Measure the myths and comb the cobwebs Scatter the differences and pray Tomorrow breathes in another sky Release the everyday burden Judgements creep around fallen friends They probably never had a chance A highway song of remembrance Beneath a summer moon Smoke signals for the lost Across the great divide....

This is a beautiful write, Jeffrey. Your words put such a calming image into my mind as I read this. I can just picture someone lying on the ground and looking up at the clouds, reminiscing about their life.... Really great work!
