Parts 2 and 3 complete the poem Sometimes in our lives We are compelled to say 'I know you' Such a thing happened Yesterday I'd seen a snippet of a television show A man playing a piano In a train station I looked up the piece of music And wrote a poem The next day, he walked into the art room He was an artist Conducting a talk In conjunction with an astrophysicist About art for a children's hospital atrium The aura of both individuals was beautiful I'd stayed late to finish my lino print But was mesmerised The laid back, soulful, at ease men Top of their profession, without pressure In a quiet moment I asked if he had been on television The answer was yes, so I explained I don't usually watch television But I had seen him Placing myself in the zone Of weirdo I said I listened to the piece of music again Was inspired to write a poem on the emotion He read the poem We chatted, the piece he played Had been too sad to play for a time After his wife had died He told me how wonderful she was How she prepared his path for afterwards He talked of his new love and her beauty Where he plays music now Would I like his number I said of course Conscious I'd never call
