Researching Synthesia

My new friend has synthesia. She sees words in different colors. Yes is purple. No is blue. Hello is green. She tastes shapes, hears colors feels sounds, pain shows up in pink She also has mirror touch synthesia If you caress my left shoulder, she feels it on her right I stare at the speaker. Having no idea what synthesia is. Van Gough and Pharrell Williams are synesthetes she says. I have to look it up. It is amazing. Usually genetic. Only two people in a hundred have it. They are usually left-handed. Strongly interested in music or visual arts. If you have synthesia you might taste the color of a wall. I stare at my walls; they are full of color. I taste nothing. I feel disappointed. Then I think of Disney's film Fantasia. Was it developed by synesthetes? Probably.
