the last leaves of the long-lived oak sway gently to the ground twilight casts its final shadow memories, now golden root deep in my heart lessons slowly learned, shine brightly in the mirror

i'm currently going through the period of finding out my father has cancer and i find it hard to think of him as a hero yet. but i'm sure yours like a lot of dads were heros as shown in this piece. good work. john
