Renvyle
Between Renvyle and the Ocean
Is a pebble beach
Of grey and white and black
Where I stood braced
With troubles of my making
And all else at my back.
I tasted the sea stained air
That swept gulls and gannets
And their cries to Inisbofin,
And for a brief moment
I was part of all that.
