Remove the Black Veil From Death's Face

“REMOVE THE BLACK VEIL FROM DEATH’S FACE” when the wars of the world break, the world protests. when the population goes homeless, the world protests. when the population goes hungry, the world protests. when the population spreads diseases, the world protests. when the environment falls to the daily living of the population, the world protests. when families spend more money than they can save, the world protests. when a murderer is caught, tried, then let free, the world protests. when the welfare doesn’t come in on time, the world protests. when a bad movie hits Hollywood, the world protests. when a book receives a bad review, the world protests. when the population is told how to love, the world protests. when the population is told how to worship, the world protests. when females take children away from their fathers, demand money and parade themselves using their children as trophies, the world is silent. the world was born of itself. if the world only understood, fix the last of the focuses and the one’s before it, will never exist. think what you will of this poet but it’s like John Lennon said: “You may say I’m a dreamer but I’m not the only one.” By: Chicano Eddie 7-30-2016
