Remote Control

Remembering all the many years we called on you to drop your fears. Audits we said you would not fail if signature were by email. And invoices in copies sent would not end up with noses bent. We screamed paperless for so long and all it took was a viral song. You said we’d never work from home Doing conferences by phone, or Zoom which we had for a decade. You stifled every sensible upgrade. Then once the threat got up in your face In two weeks the undoable was in place.

I'm working from home and I don't like it. Seem to get a lot more done though. Zoom will be loving the current situation!

I'm retired now, but it's such a kicker that they said all they are doing now wasn't doable...too hard....etc. and when they had to they got almost all classes on line and all business. I wouldn't like working from home …. I need social interaction some of each day.

Thanks Maureen, I'm retired but still on the University business managers listserve. It's been a real hoot to see what they could have done if they had just wanted to!
