Reminiscent Venues

He dragged his eyes across the pavement To think of what he has lost. For to be alone in his head makes no brutal dent When he dwells on memories many have tossed. He thinks for all emotion and for her sparkling voice He may brood upon the thoughts of her and may refund them without choice. She wanders alone, accompanied with thought Passing various reminiscent venues She thinks the phrase her old lover once said "You'll never realize what you've got" While she acts as the flailing and determined ingenue She thinks for all emotion and his raspy warm coo She cherishes the time she thinks of him but doesn't know what to do They meet on a street, their eyes catch after they pass They wished that they could but they were past console The moment felt together, a gathering of the broken shards of glass Together they met and together they stayed Oh, unstoppable together They were, as they were again and forever
