Remembering the Good Times of Yesteryear

Looking out today on my locality so many changes not for the better everything moves ao fast and loose all casual as nothing kept by the letter Dressware like nothing as before once in the past all dressed class but now torn jeans is the norm look in shock you just want to pass Remember the good times of yesteryear that generation standards held high all very smart no matter the event no respect for all, question why? As one looks over the mountains you see clouds hiding the very top just like today, modern life outlook one wants to shout, no more, stop! Standards just don't exist anymore freedom is the cue that goes overboard nothing is barred all are let loose one day pay the price we can't afford (I live in southwest Scotland, comparing to the times I grew up in the 60/70s and the present situation today.)

"Standards just don't exist anymore" So true, and I wish it weren't so. All we can do is remember the way things were. Keep praying and ignore the negative. Always embrace the many wonderful blessings that surround us. Thank you for being here, for being you. Hugs, Brandy

Sadly we won't see those days again Gordon, but we're lucky that we grew up in those times when people were more friendly and everyone dressed smart. Remember my dad always wore collar and tie and always acknowledged people unlike today where people pass you in the street and look straight past you. Hope you're keeping well. Tom

Thanks Tom, Yes so true what you say, we're living in very impersonal days as everybody looks after number one. We are well here, it's a lovely sunny morning up here, we're off on Friday for a week in the Scottish Borders so looking forward to that. Have a blessed day yourself, Gordon
