Remembering

How can one remember who he was from so long ago. It seems like but a life time ago that he was as free as one can be. He seems to force himself to forget who he was deep inside one's self. Dazed and unable to focus he seeks out guidance from old, he travels hoping to find that one thing he lost within himself so long ago. He still stands putting one foot in front of the other he guides himself to arms that he never thought he would feel, a voice so calm and quite that only the wind can carry it across the sky's to where it needs to be heard. The sun shines brightly thru the clouds giving him reinsurance that he is alive to fight another day not matter how many times he goes down. He listens to the sounds around him focusing on there words. Closely he blocks out the world around him looking listening, learning on what he's next move maybe before he can blink he has made his move. Brightly he makes not a sound, quite as the nights sky. He once more has to find a way to free his mind of the things that poison it each day. Thoughts that don't belong flood his mind each day making himself forget who he was, why has he done such a thing that he chooses not to remember but forced to relive a nightmare no one wishes to remember.
