A dear friend loses her battle with Cancer.
When you lose a friend,
memories haunt you,
sneak in when you least expect.
Those same memories can
warm your heart, if
they leave you no regret.
Did the time you spent together
bring you joy, feed your soul?
Did she listen to your woes,
could she fill a Mentor role?
Things you shared will live
beyond her earthly grave.
She is living still in you,
with the memories she gave.
They will stir and refresh you
every time you hear her name.
Her friendship has changed you,
you will never be the same.
