Remember Us
Remember this
Remember us
If I step
barefoot through chill
of crystal stream
over wisps of green - over clover
where lovers make wishes
on ladybug wings
till lavender lulls to sleep,
I may dream of you,
I may find your arms.
If I trace
one finger
over your bare back
or rest one hand
upon your chest
to feel your heart beat,
electricity between us
may spark a fire,
I may find my truth.
I am drawn to you, I am part of you, I am born in you.
Like a river pouring into the ocean,
my love pours out to you.
I overflow with every drop of water
from earth and sky.
Every mindful cloud releases its rain
so I may feel you more.
Every flame of passion dances in moonlight
for our front row view -
and if
I drown in my love
or burn out,
I will die complete,
heart flooded in us
skin-to-skin torched
When waters recede,
when flames extinguish,
remember
all I am when
I am with you.
Remember me
Remember us
