Relative Morality

RELATIVE MORALITY We live in our comfortable ‘anything goes’ world where the word ‘tolerance’ is a code word meaning …don’t preach I have no intention of changing Commitment is defined as ‘the mood’ of the moment and truth too ‘complicated’ to pin down emotion …don’t preach I have no intention of changing Our modern day prophets ‘preach peace-love- peace’ in messed up worlds of ‘pleasant propositions’ with small minds …don’t preach I have no intention of changing To stand firm on a truth ‘impaired’ world stage generation full of ‘political leverage’ God’s ancient truth …please preach for our desperation needs changing © Kim van Breda—13 October 2014

You tell like it is, Kim!! I find that many churches are on opposite spectrum's. One side preaches hatred and self-righteousness while the other preaches "love" - in the diluted sense of the word. It should have both. Compassion, humbleness, while at the same time maintaining the things that God claims is sin STILL is.

Thanks Tim... and also for your feedback on my poem "Oblivion". I know... this world is going to spin right off it's axis one day with all the immorality and corruption and violence. I always say... the Bible is not a multiple choice book--- where you choose the rules that make you comfortable with life. It's all or nothing.
