Rejoicing and Exhaling

my little girl is lighting scented candles tonight she is recovering from pneumonia and in is in her best mood in forever i play her favorite Christmas song by the late dan fogelberg we become lost and run out of things to say as well love is speaking right now, and it is not to be disturbed after she finishes her chicken and shells soup and sandwich, she comes over to me and jumps on my lap i wrap her in her favorite blanket and play the song again i smile as a quiet tear falls as she snuggles up in her blanket i know that sleep is tapping on her shoulder gently she responds as always i simply rejoice the smell of apples and cinnamon fills the air with yuletide divine contentment
