Regrets
Once, love dreamed of,
I used to write her name
by mine, in hope she’d notice
Over and over, again, again, again.
She’d look with radiant smile
I’d do same
Would pass me by
Repeatedly, again, again, again.
Two doves we were,
both tender hearts so tame
Shy to speak
In dreams I’d call (your name) again, again, again.
So it came to be
There was no lover’s lane
As we lived our lives alone
Memories recalled – regrets, again, again, again.
