Refused To See

There are still nights
Up alone, I think of you
How right you were
But still how very wrong
How can that be?
I battle amongst myself
Temptation to call
Just want to hear your voice
See your face
Though I know it’s wrong
I want to touch your lips
With mine
Remember the kiss I left?
How sweet and gentle
The lips of an angel
You gave it what you could
I asked for more
You had nothing left
Though you looked
So I left
Feeling you were used
What you gave me
Was what I was after
I refused to change
Refused to see

Nice. I see some of your experiences are same as mine throughout life. Btw i would consider it's form to be a lyric poem (since it clearly expresses the author's feelings, in other words you.)

My heart felt sad with every word! :( What a beautiful poem from the heart. They say each person represent a reason, a season, or a life time... A life time love seems like the best gift of the three however "A Reason" I believe is the greatest! It may hurt the most but there was a direct reason for that person (angel) was apart of your life. How special you must be that "Heaven rained just for you!" ;)
