Reflections

Look in a pond what do you see I see a reflection, it looks like me Not a young girl, I know I’m not But think of my life and what I’ve got My reflections have changed throughout the years There’s been a lot of smiles and shedding of tears My body has changed as I’ve gotten older Somehow I feel like my mind is now bolder Looking in the pond I know what I see I see someone she looks like me My face has changed, my hair is thin I feel good about this body I’m in My aches and pains they come and go And I may get out of bed a little bit slow But looking back on this life that I’ve had My aging years are good not bad Looking in the pond at that face I see Age is just a number I just let it be I smile at that face I see Because that face looks just like me! You made me feel the same, as if I were there; looking to that pool and my reflection. Excellent and deep!// Blackmatta
