Reflections
There’s something about forty
I now see my mom and dad
As I peer into the mirror
When I’m happy or I’m sad
I see their joyful smiles
Often when I am glad
I see their frowning faces
Occasionally when I get mad
Reflections of them now
Forever on and on
They live inside somehow
For we share a common bond
I have my father’s eyes
I’ve got my mothers smile
It’s funny to see them every day
As I haven’t seen them in a while
So now, take at look at you
You’ll be amazed at what you’ll find
If you can’t see it yet, it’s true
Just give it some more time
