Reflected
I close my eyes to the blind man,
I turn away from the needy,
I do not feel for the sick,
nor do I help the handicapped.
I look in the mirror at a man
whose reflection is not there
and I wonder: Why have they all left me?
Then, I see a man who gave his all for me,
for all of us as a true example of love,
he also looked in the mirror but saw his reflection,
and yet he wondered: Why have they all left me?
His face much different than mine,
his life much greater, his love much deeper.
His reflection is always there with me,
but yet I often wonder: Why has He not left me?
