Redemption

As I kneel beside this cold bed to pray Oh Lord don’t let me be the hunters’ prey I weep daily and flood my pillow with my tears. When will this misery end? Searching through my inner most being, Like looking for a missing precious jewel. Redemption, Redemption Is the food I yearn to eat. Waiting on a moment of my breakthrough. Can these bones have life? My hope breaks like an egg, Nothing to hold on to survive. I lift up my eyes and saw a glowing light I see it leading me to cross the red sea. A messiah is here now. An invisible hand opens my door of life, To usher in a beautiful sunshine to dry up The flood on my pillow. My heart is filled with joy Because redemption has come to stay.
