Reciprocation

The old man peers at his photograph , Looking at the boy he used to be. “Smile ! – Say cheese “ , says the photographer , The youngster murmurs , blandly , "Camembert" And looks intently at the camera , The moment made eternal with a click. The man looks at the image of his past ; His image looks back ,from the page. He sees the picture of his long ago. The image views its future through a lens.
