Rebirth
I love this time of year so much
as gentle shoots break through the ground
all around are signs of new life
soon colour will once more be rife
This is the time for patience
as the plants start to unfurl
their leaves bringing promise
of the sweet smelling flowers
And birds do sing so happily
as they feed their hungry chicks
no matter if the sun shines down
or the rain softly falls soaking all
The apples and plums swell up
giving promise of their sweet fruits
that pleasure still to come
everywhere you look life abounds
