Realize

It's raining out, And you sit by the window, With tears rolling down your cheeks, Through the fogged up glass you peek, Wondering of wishes that never came, Digging up memories of hurt and pain, You bite your lips, You clench your fist, And you pause for just one moment. Then you tie up your hair, Breathe for some air, And as you walk across the floor, Your hope and strength flies through the door, They greet you with a smile, That would stretch a hundred miles, They hug you like there's no tomorrow, With kisses to melt your sorrows, So you realize, From the smell of their sweet embrace, And innocence of joy upon their faces, That you wouldn't change a thing, From what life to you did bring.
