A saffron sun gilds gossamer
ribbons entangled within clouds.
And purple lilacs brush the air,
painting delicious aromas.
Orange zests the rim of the Earth,
as charcoal skies are pierced by stars.
And as twilight morphs into dusk,
darkness descends, devouring day.
Pink cotton candy clouds gather
as crimson shrouds a scarlet sun.
And a rising moon's golden hue
tints alabaster clouds below.
Dusk dons a tattered cloak of black
as the screech of an owl greets night.
And soon, reality slumbers,
dreaming in muted shades of blue.
Shifting shadows of ebony
ink shrubs and trees in silhouette.
And Venus summons tomorrow,
anticipating Sol's return.
