Reality

I sit alone on the dock the lake fading in the dusk a sun setting like a golden ember on a dark landscape offering one thin line of reflected light a path of watery flames to walk. But I stay on the wooden slates lined beneath my crossed legs and look down into the dark water where my imagination mixes seaweed with the faint reflection of ripples circling your face. Reach my hand to feel if you have gravity but I know that you're not real just a reflection of desire.

So true. Sometimes reality is hard to face when we lose a loved one. Whether it is from death or just the other fell out of love. It hurts. I like the imagery you have used to get your idea across. Very effective. Take care. Janet
