Real

Real things don’t last, fake things do. Fresh roses plucked from nature Shrivel after a single adventure Artificial roses, last for a thousand poses And yet the real are more appealing They give us that kind of feeling That lifts us high as the ceiling But it’s different in people and feelings Real people last for ever Real love is a forever fever Fake love is cold, it gives me a shiver Real friends, always helpful In despair, make you hopeful They may forget your birthday They won’t leave you on a bad day When you are sick they pray You get fit they play What about fake people? There for show like a wax apple They may remember every occasion They never show their real intention They can’t keep a secret Always make you regret Only as good as cigarette For a short time, make you feel great While they kill you internally So choose wisely And watch keenly Fakes always come in silver plate And the real are hard to get

Abdalla, Welcome to Poetry soup, I hope you enjoy the community. Here, you will find friendly poets who enjoy supporting one another. I myself, enjoy reading and commenting those who want to be read. The only time I give constructive criticism is when a poet desires it. However, if for some reason the poem is not my field I will guide you to someone who is more qualified than I. Stop by and read one of my poems if you like. My poems are not perfect, but I have a feeling you might like one. I encourage you to check out the contest page and read to receive comments. Tell me a little about your poetic skills if you like. It will be my pleasure to follow and read every poem you post from here on :) We are Lucky To Have you. Your New Poet Friend @-> LINDA <-@
