Reaching Forward
Reaching, stretching, grasping straws
Misdemeanors, felonies, breaking laws
Wondering, dreaming, holding on
Childhood fantasies forever gone
Wanting, needing, praying hard
Guessing, struggling, playing a card
Moves and turns; which road to take
Questions, answers, get no break
Changing, growing, now I know
Living, learning, yet a lot to go
Loving, hugging, finding strength
Moving forward at all lengths.
