Reaching For a Star
You struggle through out life
At times against your own self made strife.
Tying to stay afloat in the highest of tide
During the craziest part of the ride
Keeping your hands on the inside
Holding on to any hope
Past your end of the rope
To at least reach one star
You have came so far
While you yet live,
For all the years you were willing to give
and not get burned for having tried.
A reason for any tears you may have cried.
To achieve a goal after coming this far.
Not allow life to leave any remaining scar
Sometimes you get burned reaching for your star
Sometimes the light
It seems to shine so bright.
This has to be right.
Time as they say, will always tell
If you did that well
You will always cry
always be wondering why
If never willing to even try
So reach for your star
After all, you have already came this far
