Reach Out and Touch Someone

Before you take leave of a treasured friend, Treat the parting moment, as though 'tis Life's end. Then express the Love you have in your heart. Tell them how much you care, before you part. So speak - Reach out and touch (someone). For Fate might determine you'll not meet again, And your unspoken words cause needless pain. Then later as you travel along your chosen way, You'll recall the empty words 'you meant to say' So speak - Reach out and touch (someone). Although it is said, 'silence is as Gold' Its value pales against thoughts sincerely told! Fond emotions suppressed, will light no fire, But those same feelings declared, can spark desire. So speak - Reach out and touch (someone). Tender thoughts, once spoken, will endure forever. While silence at parting, means they’re lost forever. How many times have we lost moments such as this, Because, to speak our true feelings, we were remiss. So before it's too late - Reach out and touch (someone). Rhymer. August 24th, 2016

All too often I have heard the heartfelt cry - I wish I'd spoken to 'whomsoever' when I had the chance Too little too late doesn't cut it! I make it a habit of calling up friends on a regular basis - for one never knows. Thanks for your comment John. Regards Denis
