Re-Shape the Shapless
One word can push you over an edge
or a line in the sand
two words have nowhere to go.
Three words can become a root
to grow a love poem from.
Some words are only half-grown
they have to be fed constantly
with multiple meanings
then led out into the garden
to finger-paint a world for you.
The printed word
will always turn to vomit
if left in direct sunlight.
Most words can be bought
but not 'no' or 'yes.'
All words are hard to sell.
Aspire to be a shape-shifter
dig beneath your fingertips
turn words over like fertile soil
watch them hatch
in the ever-breaking darkness.
Keep changing, aim to confound
not to be just understood.
