Ravens Never Lie
I once met a raven.
She warned me about life.
She told me words were clever
I wish I believed her insight.
She didn’t need to warn me.
She couldn’t make me fear,
I simply wasn’t scared of the world that’s out there.
I was wrong to do so.
I was wrong to ignore.
But the path I chose I just could not adore.
See we all have paths,
We all have choices.
Some things blind us from seeing the signs
The one’s that warn us to never be blind.
I was given two paths.
One named A, the other B
I gazed upon both paths,
I don’t know how I fell in love with B.
I ignored the warnings of consequences,
No matter how many ravens visited my sleep.
I ventured down the path
With hidden courage I did not know I possessed.
Path B had no ending,
No light at the end of the tunnel.
And ravens don’t tell lies
