Raspberry Jungle
wild and scratchy
overgrown
long stalks reach to the fence top
fragrant with sun
bees
berries
shimmering
midday august
rolling tart flavor
in my mouth
arms and legs cut
gathering more for later
then the water
soaking the ground to make
fat new berries
sitting hidden in the plants
back to the fence
no one can see me
raspberry jungle
